Jon has a long history in medical device sales, marketing and operations, both domestically and internationally, beginning at STERIS. Jon advanced in responsibility with positions at leading medical device companies, STERIS, Cyberonics (Neurostimulation for Epilepsy and Depression), and Cardinal Health.
Born and raised in NE Ohio, he and his family returned to Ohio where he accepted a CEO in Residence role with BioEnterprise and Arboretum Ventures as a Venture Partner. During his stent at BioEnterprise, Jon identified a CWRU technology for treating post-amputation pain (phantom limb/residual limb pain) called Electrical Nerve Block and founded Neuros Medical. At Neuros, Jon oversaw and directed in-house and contract product development and manufacturing activities, as well as spearheading multiple, multi-site FDA IDE clinical studies, towards a Pre-Market Approval, PMA.
During Jon’s tenure as Neuros CEO, Neuros raised over $35M, including a $20M raise in 2017. Jon recently transitioned to an Executive Advisor role with Neuros, providing insight on areas such as reimbursement, IP, and strategic engagement. In addition, Jon is currently serving as an Advisor to Matrix Medical Devices and its newly-launched Accelerator.
Jon brings medical device start-up seasoning and savviness, especially in regards to critical path identification, due diligence and fund raising from “strategic partners”, many from the top 10 medical device companies.
